Founded by business mogul and philanthropist Angela Simmons, Angela’s Angels leads programs focused on career development, financial literacy, housing and self-esteem for those from underrepresented communities. Angela launched Angela’s Angels to expand on her existing activism and charitable efforts, including her Pressure Makes Diamonds initiative which focuses on helping women and girls build confidence and a positive self-image.

Angela’s Angels provides resources, hope and inspiration for women, children and young adults living in poverty. Angela’s Angels offers impactful programs focused on career development, financial literacy, housing and self-esteem for those from underrepresented communities.
Vision
The vision of Angela’s Angels is to help empower those living in poverty, the disadvantaged and those from underrepresented groups to improve their quality of life.
Initiatives
Despite her success, Angela Simmons has been challenged with several adversities and struggles throughout her life. However, just like pressure is used to transform coal into a diamond, the pressure that she has faced has helped mold her into a stronger woman and a whole person. Now, Angela is empowering others by sharing her own testimony as well as the tools and resources she used to overcome challenges, unhealthy relationships, and raise her son as a single mother.
Pressure Makes Diamonds is a series of women’s empowerment events that has reached thousands of young women and teen girls, providing them with educational information and resources to promote a healthy self-image, positive self-esteem and self-love.
Virtual Series
Angela’s Angels launched a series of 1-hour virtual conversations between Angela Simmons and other inspiring and successful women. The series is set to cover a variety of topics including Health & Wellness, Beauty & Fashion, Financial Literacy, and more. Each event is free to attend and targeted at young women but open to all who have an interest in the topic. Through these events, Angela’s Angels is able to reach more people to educate them and start a dialogue on these important topics.

Small Business Appreciation
In honor of Women’s History Month, Angela’s Angels announced the Small Business Appreciation initiative that would provide select female business owners the opportunity to be highlighted and receive a care package. This celebration of hardworking women is just one of many ways that Angela’s Angels is working to uplift women in the community.
